Dear Friends,
An update on the accident I first reported to you on May 22nd.
Laura returned home from Hospital today June 1st. Being young and
healthy she has healed wonderfully well and her Doctors have decided
that scarring from skin grafts would actually exceed the scarring she
will get from natural healing, so are leaving well alone! It looks as
though she will only have evidence of the accident on her upper left
arm, and her left ear.
Of other news the matter is in the hands of the family Lawyer, and Laura
is waiting to be interviewed by the Health & Safety Executive
Investigator. It is quite possible that the School will settle out of
court to avoid adverse publicity. The fate of the perpetrator is not
known to me. I would guess and hope his conscience is a great deal more
scarred than she is.
Laura has asked me to thank you all very much for your good wishes and
support.
This is a wonderful family we are part of.
