Hi group - need your help again.

Does anyone know what the value of a Klopfenstein wheel might be these
days? We have one in our co-op that someone would like to buy "at a
reasonable price."

Thanks in advance.

David, I have just always wanted to have one of the wheels I used at MU. I didn't even know they had a name until about a year ago. We only had a couple of electric wheels back in the day (the 70's) and they were snatched up by upper classmen and those that arrived to class early. I used the Klopfenstein style wheel every day and don't remember having problems or feeling bad after an hour or two. Anyway...I am almost strictly a handbuilder now and would probably just use the wheel for various elements that I feel need throwing...spouts, lids. Heck, I will most likely not get this thing built anyway. I just thought that it might be a good alternative bending over my to my home made kickwheel.
be well.

Hi: I too have a Klopfenstein wheel. When I took some courses at Tyler
(part of Temple U. in Phila.) all the wheels they had were Klopfenstein and
when I got an electric wheel, my husband was ready to get rid of the old
one. I said absolutely NO and I use it for trimming....Works for
me.....Mildred Herot
