japanese atomizers

I'm looking for an mouth atomizer that comes attached to it's own container
and has a much larger blow-pipe than the folding ones available nowadays.
Requires less air pressure to work, and projects a larger volume of
material. They are made of tin-plated steel, soldered. Many years ago
they were available in art stores, but no more. An acquaintance had one
purchased in Japan a few years back, but hasn't been able to get any more.
Someone suggested that old hand laundries may use them to spray starch.
Any suggestions?

I remember those, they were used in graphic design firms. I have my doubts as
to whether they are still manufactured in this country, but if anyone would
know--the FLAX Company would. They've been supplying graphic design materials
for decades, through all the changes in the media. I believe they have a
website, they are somewhere in the midwest.

To repeat the gist of my post to the List of June 3rd. The mouth
sprayers referred to below are made from Stainless Steel in Taiwan and
we import them to the UK and sell a lot of them. They work extremely
well with less effort than a conventional mouth atomiser.

Hi Clayarters,
Steve's assurances about the Japanese atomizers made in Taiwan
really intrigue someone, who wants to try this method without blowing my
brains out. They are available in the UK, but does anyone know if they are
available here in the U.S. Not planning a trip to the U.K for the present,
though I would love to go, this is not enough of an excuse!
Thanks in advance and thanks Steve for all the information.

Steve sent me a drawing of the atomizer. I have seen these before, but not for
a very long time. I'm not sure they are still available here. He charges
$31.50 for sending them over here. He told me this off-list because I couldn't
find it in his catalog and they were, in fact missing. They have a larger
orifice to blow into, thus making it a bit easier to get the air in the passage
way to start the process.
