Hello

Does anyone have a good recipe of glossy blue glaze for cone 10 reduction?
I'm looking for a nice cobalt blue translucent and some flowing patterns like
"rutile blue" are appeared on a surface. I have tried some blue glazes but,
I haven't gotten what I want.

Also, I'm looking for a recipe of John Mason's "barium carb.-copper carb.
blue" glaze. This glaze is also for cone 10 reduction and his work with this
glaze is in the book, "the Craft and Art of Clay" by Susan Peterson 2nd Ed.
pp154-155. This blue glaze is very cool!!! However, the glaze recipe is not
listed on the book unfortunately.

Please help me to find out both "glossy blue gaze" and John Mason's "barium
carb.-copper carb. blue glaze."

Thank you very much.

I recently found mixed this glaze from the GlazeBase site and think it might
be what you're looking for. It is a beautiful deep cobalt blue on porcelain
breaking into green along the rim and turns a mottled blue and green on red
clays.
