albany vs. alberta

Hi Sharon and all - Yes, they say Alberta slip is a substiture for Albany,
but I have found it to be a very poor substitute. I used to make lovely
rich-colored glazes with Albany, but they certainly don't turn out the same
with Alberta. Sad! So, if you have some Albany to make glazes with, use
the glaze for very special pots, and be advised that when your Albany runs
out, the glaze won't look the same with Alberta.
