Hi!
I am new to the group so I thought I would introduce myself. I am a ceramic
sculptor and head of the ceramic program at the University of South
Carolina in Columbia SC.
The spring of 2000 I have a sabbatical and I have received funding from our
Dean for a sabbatical replacement. The instructor would need to have an MFA
can make functional or sculptural work. The big priority is that they must
be very very good at kiln building. The intermediate class will focus on
kiln building as will the advanced class.
The instructor will build with these two classes a gas car kiln and a salt
kiln. We have a new facility with a great indoor kiln room and a wonderful
covered outdoor kiln yard.
If you know anyone that you think would be interested please have them
contact me at 803 799-2533 or 803 777-3467. The pay is 15,000.00. Classes
start Jan. 10 and end May 10.It is critical that the person is an expert
kiln builder and interested in sharing their skill with students.
I leave June 24 to work in Italy until the end of July so please have them
contact me before this date.
