Hi Veena,

Your suggestion sounds like an excellent one to me. I happen to have an
uncle in Albany who teaches biology at Siena College right outside of
Albany. I will call him and ask if someone from the geology department could
hook us up with a specific location to dig.

Funny thing, I've been thinking a lot about going up there this summer to
look for Albany slip so this is the perfect way to go about it. Who is
interested in joining us?

Hi All Albany Clay lovers,
If there is indeed a place where one can dig up this clay, perhaps
we could organize a Clayart field trip to go and dig clay. Could be fun, a
way to get together, to have some fun, and to get that precious ingredient.
Just a thought.
All the best to everyone.
Veena

Peter,

I am very interested in joining an Albany slip field trip. I will
soon run out of the Albany slip I have from years and years ago and didn't
know until this recent thread on Clayart that there is actually still Albany
slip out there.

Keep me posted.
