I attended a Kathy Triplett workshop recently, she gave us some of her glaze
recipes.
Bronze (cone2-6) NOT FOOD SAFE=21=21=21
manganese dioxide 60
copper oxide 10
any red clay 20
kaolin 10
=5F=5F
100
This was very bronze looking. I was amazed. But it is not for food =
containers. I
believe you mentioned that you wanted it for tiles?

Is this bronze glaze for oxidation or reduction firing? Also, is it the
manganese dioxide that makes it not food safe?
Thanks much,
