A friend is looking for the maker/vendor who had an apron that was available
at NCECA: it has a slit down the middle and you pull it through your legs to
tie it and it protects your legs from clay as you sit on the wheel. I don't
remember seeing it there. Is anyone aware of this type of apron, and if so,
the cost and name/number of the vendor who sells them?
Thank you
Maureen

I happened to be in a long elevator ride at NCECA with Wendy Moore who had a
capitive audience to show her throwing aprons to. They were really nice. $20
plus $3 shipping. Choice of colors.

Blacksmith's use this type of apron, split front, hooks around back of legs.
They are great. My local blacksmith association has them. There is a bsmith
assoc somewhere in your area. Ck them

Hi Maureen:
Tell your friend that I make the kind of apron that your friend is looking for.
One difference however, is mine do not tie around the legs. The halves of the
apron are big enough to stay put while you are on the wheel but hang free when
you stand up. They are made of cotton twills and denim-type fabrics and are
generally one-size fits all. You can contact me off-list and I can e-mail you
more info and a picture.
