I have a client requesting plates with a burgundy glaze. I found one nice =
one
but it's translucent and she wants opaque. I fire to cone 6. I would be
grateful for any ideas or formula.
Thanks,
Chris

Chris.. you can substitute dolomite for some of your feldspar and get that
opaque glaze.. i'd start with 10% of dolomite,, and less feldspar. and test..
then in 5% increments until i had one i liked.. there are other things you
can do too..i'm sure you'll get a lot of suggestions.
