Beth Yeatman Spindler on fri 25 jun 99
Hi,
Just wanted to pass this on.....
Bolick Family Pottery located on Blackberry Road just off Rt. 321 near
Blowing Rock, NC in western NC is having their semi-annual groundhog kiln
opening this Saturday, June 26 from 9 to 5.......I went last year and it was
great........that kiln....a fascinating piece of work.........in addition to
lots of pottery made by the Bolick family and relatives/friends, there is
lots of food and bluegrass/gospel music,,quliting,
lace-making....woodcarving...and much more.......don't mean to sound like an
advertisment.......but it is a fun day and the groundhog kiln makes for some
great photos....!! not to mention great pots!! Lula Owen Bolick (a fifth
generation Seagrove potter) and her husband and family are gracious hosts as
well ............if you are in the area......I highly recommend it......in
fact, I am heading that way again...leaving tomorrow(Fri) for NC in fact......
Beth in VA.............
in the process of packing...........:) on the road again..........
