Hi Fellow Clay-lovers,
I'm going to be in the Vancouver/Victoria/Whistler, BC area between July 15
-22.
What is great to visit pottery-wise? I have Robin Hopper's card that he gave
me at NCECA so I plan to go by his studio. What else should I do? I'll have
my husband along who can only take "so much" pottery Of course, I just love
to see every car and motorcycle shop around and do so with nary a complaint ;
)
Thanks in advance ....I'm sure you will give me some great advice!

While in Whistler look up Vincent Massey's studio. He does some fine
work and it would be worth a visit. Of course Robin's in a must see
as well. In Vancouver there is the B.C. Potters Guild Studio and
Bob Kingsmill's and Don Hutchenson's all on Granville Island in
Vancouver that will be a treat too see.
Have a great trip.

Janet -
When in Vancouver please visit the Potters Guild of B.C. and the Craft
Association of B.C. - both on the same street on Granville Island ---
right in the center of the city. From there you will get tons of info that
will keep yu (and your husband) running all day.

When in victoria please see the "Out of Hand" Gallery in downtown Victoria.

Try to get to Nanaimo - we have one of three Tozan Kilns in the world.
This is a big noborigama hill climbing kiln with 5 chambers. Worth a peek.

We also have the Arrowsmith Potters Guild in Parksville - 20 minutes north
of Nanaimo - also worth a peek ( in an old Canadian Pacific Railway
Station).

Have a great trip!!!
