it is a very good tool when used by an experienced potter, for very
special applications.
never have one in a school...the kids will bend the arms, break the parts, lose
little bits and pieces.
and in keeping with my friend david h., learn to use your wheel head....it
is faster,
easier, and better for you.

p.s. when the forms get so complex that you need a giffen, maybe one should
check the section at the museum with ming pots.
