firing schedule for l&l j245

Hello,

I recently purchased a used L&L J245 from a woman in Denver who was
moving back east. The kiln looks solid, just some cracking in the
floor (going to order a new one) and I was hoping to get some idea of
a firing schedule for bisque cone 08. The electric kilns I have fired
in the past were skutts and just had the low/medium/high switches;
however, this kiln has these wierd numbered switches, and rather than
just guessing at it I thought I would ask for instruction.

Thanks for your help!

Dear Jeff - You can use the infinite switches almost as if they were
Hi-Med-Low switches as far as your firing cycle goes. They provide the
additional advantage of being able to incrementally adjust the firing of
the five zones in this kiln allowing you to fine tune the heat profile
within the kiln. We have a firing schedule in our instruction book which
you can download as a PDF file on our web site at www.hotkilns.com. Good
luck with your "new" kiln!

Hi Jeff,
Check L&L's website;

www.hotkilns.com

They have their manuals for downloading there under "PDF Library". I bought
two of their JD series, with a computer control. Great kilns!
