My Skutt kiln is outside on a porch here in Florida. Have had no problems
and it has been there several years. I fire an average of several times a
week. Because I have a kiln controller that I don't want damaged be
lightening, it is sometimes hard to find enough lightening free hours here in
the summertime.
Drying shelves- Home Depot has plastic, free standing, ventilated shelves
that work great. They come several sizes and go togather easily.
