Janet - We use digital cameras at my "real job" and have given up using
them on water because of the glare. We only use them for inside events
now. The glare that reflects from the water (just like the reflection
from a tile) makes the photo washed out and useless even when we try and
manipulate the photo with various high tech computer graphic programs.
I have heard that people have put small things like tiles directly on
the glass of their scanner and scan them in that way to put on a web
site.
Good Luck
Carla in Alaska - where we received "termination dust" (aka snow) on the
mountains today.
