Hi, Everyone.
I would like to pass along the following information to the Clayart
community.
Thomas Orr, Professor of Ceramics at the Oregon College of Arts and
Craft, will present a slide lecture of his work at the Guilford
Handcraft Center on Friday, August 6th at 8pm. Orr uses multiple glaze
layers in brilliant colors. These are applied to box-like forms which
make references to doors, windows and houses. Multi-glazing and firing
is most often necessary to achieve the desired surface and texture which
supports the content of his work.
An article on Thomas Orr appeared in the June/July/August '97 issue
of Ceramics Monthly.

Directions: From Interstate 95 take exit 58. At the end of the exit
ramp turn onto Route 77 heading north ( pass under the highway ). The
center is about a quarter mile north of the highway on the right hand
side of the road.
