would you sell a cracked pot? cracked pot-juried art show

I know this discussion is about art fairs but I have seen cracked pots in
juried art shows. One artist painted on her vases like the clay was canvas.
The problem was her clay technique was terrible and her pots always had
cracks in them.(not hairline) I got gutsy at one show and privately asked
one juror if she picked the pot because it flowed nicely with the painting
hanging next to it and she said yes. I asked her about the cracks and she
said it didn't matter because the pot fit into her show. I have seen other
pots with large cracks in shows and I don't understand why they get in.
With my pottery I'm new to art shows and galleries and would like to
understand why a potter would consider a cracked pot show quality (if the
crack was not planned) and why a juror would jury a cracked pot into a show?
Are they just interested in the artistic quality of the piece and not
technique? I realize that this situation is probably not the norm but I
would think artists would want their best work to be in art shows and
galleries.
I didn't want to come across judgmental, we all need to do our own thing but
I am interested where artists draw the line and how jurors view pottery for
art shows.
TIA
