free clay in seattle

A friend of mine asked me to post this for him. He has some clay he is
willing to give away. He RAM-presses sinks, and the scraps and the
5-pound pieces he cuts off a block of pugged clay are too much clay for
him to wedge up to make more sinks with. It's perfectly throwable, but
he doesn't throw. And it's a different clay than I use, and he
generates more of it than I could use anyway.
This is a cone 4-6 body called Newcomb 6, made by Clay Art Center in
Tacoma. It's a white clay, not quite porcelain. The stuff that was
scraps from the press is just a bit harder than when it was new, due to
the pressing, but some of it is just as it came from the manufacturer.
He has, right now, about 700-1000 pounds of it, and gets more all the
time. He was giving it to a high school, but they've quit their clay
program.
Anyway, if you want it, it's free for the hauling. Call Tom Schultz at
Schultz Pottery between 11AM and 6PM weekdays at 206-789-6410.

I have a friend who is giving away some clay. He RAM-presses sinks, and
uses a 20-lb. block of clay. The other 5 lb. in the bag he can't use
because it doesn't seal back together well enough so the sinks crack.
He just had back surgery, so no wedging. He's got several hundred
pounds of it.
Anyway, the clay is a cone 4-6 white (more or less) lightly grogged
clay. His name is Tom Schultz, and his phone number is 206-789-6410.
His studio is in the north end of Seattle.
