Dear Frank: I have been trying for years for a reduction of alcohol. I
find alcohol works perfectly fine after or before reduction. It works very
nicely after a wood firing but during can be somewhat tiring. I have
pitched a shot of bourbon in the chamber as a thirst quencher for the kiln
goddess. This seemed to be appreciated and in turn I got a good load of
pots. Do not use bar bourbon! You have to use good stuff- JD will do in a
pinch.
If you need to reduce quantities then use high test.
Happy glow on.
