The idea of using a multimeter should certainly help. Assuming that all the
elements are designed for the same voltage, the resistance checks will help.
Something else which may be useful is the following:
Voltage =3D3D3D Resistance x Current (current is measured in amps)
Power =3D3D3D Voltage x Current
If voltage and resistance (ohms) are known, then Current =3D3D3D Voltage/ =
=3D3D
Resistance
(in DC circuits).
For AC circuits (as is used by kilns) Current =3D3D3D (.707 x =3D3D
Voltage)/Resistance.
