There are a number of ways to secure a ceramic pull to a cabinet. But the
most elegant is the use of a small metal threaded female insert so that any
length screw can be attaced lated regardless of the thickness of the door
or drawer.
1. What is that thing called?
2. Where can I get them?
thank you, victor

I don't know what they're called, other than "insert" but Axner carries them.
However, a less expensive alternative from the hardware store are those
little plastic inserts made to be used with wood screws in drywall or
masonry. They work fine and they don't have to be glued in.
