cm issue with shrimp glaze

I've been doing glaze trials for variations of a "Shrimp" glaze found in
Ceramics Monthly. I had torn out the page with the recipe on it, but
there was no date at the bottom. Does anyone happen to know this
information? The article could have been written 20 years ago or
recently. It's a dandy cone 8-10 reduction glaze, breaks in interesting
ways and develops interesting microcrystals from the zinc and rutile.
Glaze recipe follows for those who want it. (By the way, I started my
trials by leaving out the RIO, divided wet glaze batch in 10 jars and
then added 5 gram increments of various oxides to each jar.Subsequent
trials followed up on successes of 1st tests. But who do I give credit
to when I can't find the original article? Help, please, oh great glaze
recipe collectors. Carolyn aka CNC

Shrimp glaze cone 8-10 Reduction

The SHRIMP glaze is from an article by Lewis Snyder.
I don't know when, but it was not recent, probably 20 years ago.

This glaze is silica-deficient according to limit formulae
with Si02 at 2.67, so I don't use it on functional surfaces.
It also crazes on my claybody, and probably would on most,
but like all low-silica matts you don't notice it unless you
get out your magnifier and look for it.
I would expect it to be a poor glaze for dishes, with utensils
marking the surface and making the dreaded 'fingernails on
a blackboard' sound.
I re-calculated the recipe since I don't use Cornwall Stone,
and came up with this recipe. I also used only EPK for
the clay component - no ball clay or calcined kaolin.

Shrimp glaze recalculated
54.3 Custer Feldspar
19.7 whiting
17.1 EPK
6.1 flint
2.8 zinc oxide
6.0 red iron oxide
4.0 rutile

unity formula for both original glaze & my recalculation
.62 Ca0
.18 K20
.09 Na20
.11 Zn0
.12 Fe203
.48 Al203
2.67 Si02
