FHC is an air floated ball clay. You can get it at Great Lakes Clay,

Llewellen,
A while back, I did a web search on "Spinks Clay" and got a whole bunch
of sites on the two legendary boxers. What a gas! Anyway, they have a web
site at http:/www.spinksclay.com/
Not much information is given on FHC other than:
"An intermediate-grained engineered blend offering excellent moisture
retention and plasticity properties. Ideally suited for a wide variety of
stoneware applications and wet forming process."
You might try contacting them at:

I have purchased this clay directly from the mine at Paris, Tennesee. My
contact there was Ed Jordan. Phone number (901) 642-5414.

We used it as our main clay for years during the sixties and seventies. It
was originally called "Gizmo" then they changed the name to Foundry Hill
Creme. It became unavailable in the mid-eighties and they recommended "New
Foundry Hill Creme" which was unacceptable for us. Now, I hear, that the
"old" Foundry Hill Creme is available again.

Please let me know how you make out with your research.
