Curious as to whether anyone uses colloidal slips in their work? I was =
reading
=22Resist and Masking Techniques=22 by Peter Beard this morning. He =
describes how
to make colloidal slips in detail. It sounds fascinating, time consuming =
and
according to him, rewarding.

For in the Market-place,one Dusk of day,
I watch'd the Potter thumping his wet Clay:
And with its all obliterated Tongue
It murmur'd-"Gently,Brother,gently,pray!"

John, you are probably right. This book by Peter Beard was published in
England (hence the language difference I guess) and is the first time I read
a detailed explanation of how these slips were made. It gives me a new
respect for anyone that has the patience to prepare these colloidal or terra
sig slips.
