I also found the site interesting and an exciting
idea. Few sites have real content and invite others
to contribute. Those clayarters without the time
or interest in generating their own sites, should take
Stan up on his offer. If he follows through and posts
your pictures and essays, then he was sincere and
should be forgiven and praised for his hutspah.
The site is extremely well made and I would be pleased
to be associated with it, although I am initially wary
due to the spam-like intro. Some others had said
that cross-linking will assist in publicizing your
websites. His site would be a good one to link to
because it is content-rich and by its nature it
should be dynamic. As is Virtual Ceramics. Both add
to the internet clay community and should be welcomed,
and eventually accepted after the ruffled feathers
lie down.
I don't like getting spammed either. Stan has done
all that he can do about it, he apologized. And this
was the most "appropriate" spam I had ever received.
I usually just delete it. Instead, I went and looked
and was surprised to find something interesting and
appropriate to me specifically. I think we should
all collectively cut him some slack, but just this
once, and help him with this project if we can...
