A while back when I lived in Washington State, I visited some potters who
heated water for their hot tub with their kiln. The gas kiln and hot tub
were under the same roof and they ran water pipes along side the kiln ,
picking up the heat and piped the water over to the hot tub. I assume it
circulated back again by pump but I'm not sure. Most clever idea. The
party I was at there, they cooked pizza in the electric kilns but it wasn't
too successful. This party was all women, about 20 of us-nurses,
nutritionists, artists, mothers, the whole range of occupations, most in
their 30's, and we got to talking about tattoos. Turns out, that even back
then in 1985, only one of us did not have a tattoo! Midwesterner that I am
- I was shocked-although I was one of the ones with a tattoo!
