Does anyone know a source for used kiln shelves? The Long Beach Island
Foundation studio is looking for some for their cone 10 firings.

Lynne,
Just for my own personal inquisitive nature, where is Long Beach Island?
I know where Long Beach, Washington, and Long Beach, California, are but
your AOL address doesn't give me a clue. As for the used kiln shelf
question, I got some from one of the community colleges in Southern
California one time. They had changed the size of kiln shelves they used
and had a bunch of the old size laying around. They also had some that
they did not feel comfortable using, because of their age, that were just
right for what I needed them for. Try looking in the business yellow
pages for commercial potteries in your area. Maybe they have some they
need to get rid of. It doesn't hurt to ask and you never know what you
might run into.
