Hi all,
Next year I'm going back to my home country, Norway and I am thinking about
bringing an electric kiln.
In Norway the el. system is 220V and 50Hz.
Does anyone know if it is possible to get equipment with these spesifications
here in the US? If not would it be possible to use 220-240V with 60Hz ? What
about the digital timer ? Is it going to be affected ?
Does anyone know whitch brands that sells in Scandinavia? (nice to know so I
can get parts etc.)

If you want to reply off line, my e-mail is:
hjnordskog@aol.com

Thanks, Ellen

Hi Ellen,
Most kiln companies will be able to supply you with a kiln to suit those
specifications.
50Hz timers are available. Elements can be designed to run on 220 volts.
Parts can be shipped fairly quickly to Europe if necessary. You would be
wise to inquire about how any warranty repairs will be handled.
If you need any help, feel free to call

I would suspect that any Kiln Co. will wire your new kiln to meet European
standards. I know that you can get different electrical requirements from
Paragon Kilns in Dallas. If you need information about Paragon.. email me
off line and i'll get you the information.. Jim
