MUDFEST 99

A day full of clay competitions for amauter and professionals to be held on
the Prado in Balboa Park, in San Diego on Saturday, October 2nd.
Registration forms are available by calling Karen Van Price @ (858) 278-4214,
or email at vanprice@earthlink.net.

Over $5,000 in sponsorship and awards have been donated so far. $25.00
entry fee entitles you to participate in a many games as you can, display
work in the common sales area and....... a sure to be coveted, free MUDFEST
99 T-Shirt .... all on first come basis. It is to your advantage to register
early. There will also be a Childrens handbuilding booth to keep the little
ones busy.
Helpers are always welcome or you can just come & watch.
Several local celebrities are lined up, ready to look foolish trying their
hand in our celebrity challenge round. This event will get media coverage -
one of our Judges is from KUSI News (Ch. 9/51 in san diego).
For those who actually read to the end of the clayart messages I can reward
you by adding that Richard Burkett will also be serving as one of our judges,
along with Les Lawrence from Grossmont College, Richard Lambert from Freeform
Clay, Tonita Waters from Ceramic Art Dist., Ron Carlson from UCSD Craft
Center, and Kevin Myers from the Glendale Area.
Proceeds will used for ceramic scholarships to students in San Diego schools
and colleges.
