Clayarters:
If you're in the DFW area I recommend you stop by the Trammell and Margaret =
Crow
Collection of Asian Art. It is located in the Trammell Crow Building in
downtown Dallas right across the street from the DMA. It houses a stunning
collection of clay, glass, wood, metal and stone art from Japan, China, =
Tibet,
India, and Myanmar.
My favorite gallery is the one devoted to Japan. Two large storage jars =
from
Tokoname and a vase from Shigaraki capture my attention.
While the artwork is priceless, they spared no expense on the space either. =
The
space covers two levels in two different wings on the north side of the
building. The design, materials, and construction of the space are first =
rate.
Since the collection opened to the public this spring, I've taken three
different classes on field trips. I highly recommend a visit.

Web site is http://www.crowcollection.org/ and I've added it to my links.
Thanks Rafael. Alex Kerr mentions this collection in his book "Lost Japan"
(great book). He worked for them as a buyer and translator.
