i bought mine directly from bluebird in fort collins,co. i have found them =
to
be very helpful and easy to deal with. just recently i had to have my old
pugmill reconditionesd because i was not being too careful dealing with it.
they worked on it and fixed it right back to the original condition in a =
very
short time. it cost, but was well worth the result. i hate spending the
freight to buy so far from me, but most dealers will make you pay f.o.b. =
anyway.
i have a 3 inch de-airing bluebird and find it to be a real workhorse for a
small studio.

Hank
I bought my bluebird from Bennetts in Fla. last year. their price was very
good. and when there was a small problem, the freight co. wanted me to
pay shipping charges, which were supposed to be prepaid, I called them and
it was cleared up right then and there. I also got a north star extruder
from them a couple of years ago.

For Bluebird, anyway, the answer is wherever it's cheapest
or whoever you like.
It doesn't matter, because once you own the machine you
can call Bluebird directly if you have questions or need
service.
When I was shopping for a mill at NCECA I found that
it cost MORE to buy directly from Bluebird! I went 50
feet down the aisle and got a better price from Axner,
went another 50 feet and saved even more at Bailey.
Of course, Bailey never saw my pugmill - I sent them
a check and the mill was shipped from the factory, and
that's the last I had to do with Bailey.
When I have a problem or need parts, I just contact
Bluebird and they send me what I need.
There really was no reason for the distributor to be
involved in the transaction. It works that way, I'm sure,
because Bluebird doesn't want to risk alienating their
dealers by under-pricing them.

Try Axners in Orlando 1-407-365-2600. Talk to Howard. As a disclaimer, I
should tell you that I am a "silent partner" in the business. I sold a used
bluebird pug mill and a soldner mixer and purchased a Peter Puger about a
year ago. Wish I would have done it sooner.
