Hi to everyone who had questions about this glaze. Sorry I didn't give =
complete
info. It's =5E04 oxidation, good on terracotta, glossy, a little runny. =
The
oxides I mentioned-- copper carb. =26 yellow ochre-- give a nice soft, =
variegated
green. To Curtis Nelson: these are the ingredients you would replace with =
other
colorants. Chrome oxide, or stains that contain chrome, would come out =
brown
rather than green because of the zinc in the glaze. I don't do once-fire, =
so I
don't know how it would fire applied to greenware. If you try it, let me =
know
how it turns out. I have also never tried to glaze and fire commercial
flowerpots. I don't know how vitrified they are. I guess, if you can get =
the
glaze to stick to them, you could fire them.
