I have volunteered to help my former instructor at University of West =
Florida
attempt to get a grant for the purchase of at least one new kiln. We hope =
to
get a shuttle kiln with at least 72=22 of internal height, and possibly also=
get
funding for a vapor kiln and a large computer controlled electric kiln. I =
have
been able to locate contact information for Geil, Bailey, Axner, and L=26L
(DaVinci).
The school has ample natural gas pressure available (2lb main feed with four
branches, one of which is used for the downdraft kiln (two burner, approx =
30-40
cu ft) and another for a small raku kiln. The other two branches are =
associated
with existing vent/smoke stacks built in anticipation of funding for new =
kilns
(which funding, of course, vanished).
Suggestions with rationale and contact information would be greatly =
appreciated.
