I read your query re artificial reduction and burnished pots. I have no
answer for that. However , to a glaze containing a small amount of copper
and tin the addition of very fine silicon carbide, FFF grade or finer, is
usually less than 1 percent. Otherwise the result is a cratered glaze. You
might try wedging some silicon carbide into your clay, before covering the
pot with a copper glaze. That might result in a green pot with some red
