The Brevard College (Brevard, NC) Art Department would like to invite you to
the following events:
Tuesday October 12, at noon Lynne Johnson will give a slide lecture in MG
125 on wood fired ceramics. The slide lecture will be held in the McLarty
Goodson building room 125. Immediately following the slide lecture Johnson
will demonstrate wheel-throwing and handbuilding processes which she uses to
construct her ceramic pieces.
October 20th through November 5th, Brevard College's Spiers Gallery will be
featuring an exhibit entitled "Freedom of Fire: A National Ceramics
Invitational " which features the
work of nearly a dozen ceramists. The artists invited to exhibit include:
Linda Christianson - Lindstrom, MN
Judith Duff - Cedar Mountain, NC
Neil Estrick - Ames, Iowa
Tom Kearcher - Portland, OR
Lynne Johnson - Courtenay, B.C.
Jan McKeachie-Johnston - River Falls, WI
Jeremy Nudell Kalin - Taylors Falls, MN
Don Reitz - Clarkdale, AZ
Wil Shynkaruk - Fargo, ND
Al Tennant - Koopeville, WA
Shannon Williams - Bozeman, MT
The exhibit runs from October 20th through November 5th in Spiers Gallery,
Sims Art Center. Gallery hours are from 10 am to 5:30 pm.
The public is invited, and there is no charge to view the exhibit.
