tax payer money for things that are offensive?

We are, at this minute, being "strafed" by the Blue Angels, rehearsal for the
Columbus Day festivities in SF. Our tax money at play. Scaring the kitties,
setting off car alarms, generally an offensive display, and holding us all
"hostage" till it's over. Make ART not WAR!
Bonita in San Francisco, hiding with the kitties till its over.
If Clayarters exist in town here, you are welcome to our visit during Open
Studio in SF
Ruby's Clay Studio @ 552ANoe, between 18+19, Sat +Sun Oct 9+10.

I enjoy being "strafed" by the blue angels.

Takes all kinds to make a world.

Wow! we had the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds flying over our elementary
school this past week. I love to watch the precision flying! Nothing against
peace, I believe in it and love it. But in this less than perfect world of
ours, I believe that evidence of military strength acts as a deterrent to those
who might otherwise not be deterred. People of peace might not like military
things, but I believe they would like living under some other governemental
systems even less. How can you value your freedom and condemn the price? I fin
that hypocritical. Freedom costs.

Earl, If we could always look at things a little more logically I really
believe that we might see more of the forest through the trees. Yours is a
very good point for us to try to remember. I for one thank you for pointing
it out. Tasha

As always, offensive is in the eyes of the beholder (or ears, as the case
may be) .

Living in Pensacola, my wife and I are awakened every Tuesday morning to the
sounds of the Blue Angels rehearsing. Part of their show puts low altitude
passes from the solo pilots right over our house. Instead of being scared,
our two Siamese kittens dream of catching those big, really fast, birds!

Make Art not War? I certainly agree. But it is also nice to know that we
have the means to protect ourselves when we have to. In today's world, when
you need to defend your country it's too late to start putting together the
means to do so.

When we have a totally disarmed world to live in, maybe we'll also have
everyone agreeing on what is and is not art.
