It is possible that the bat pins have worn down over time and need to be
replaced, as well as that the holes in the wheelhead have worn somewhat. I
have a fairly new Pacifica & all my bats have the one oval and one round
hole, and I find I have to pry them off the wheelhead. The purpose of the
oval hole is to compensate for slightly-off-perfect wheelhead holes. They
should not cause slippage, since the side of the hole should be pressing on
the bat pin rather than the end of the hole as the wheel rotates.
