The best investment I ever made in business education for the crafts person
was at the Craft Business Institute run by the Rosen Group in Baltimore. The
cost of this workshop is very reasonable and they also give scholarships,
both full and partial. You will learn more in that one week-end than you can
believe.

The dates for 2000 are May 19 -21. The applications are not out yet, but I am
sure that Wendy can put up an address where we can e-mail to get information.
I think it is - kirstin@rosengrp.com.

I second this suggestion. The CBI totally changed my attitude toward what the
business of craft really is. The Rosen Group is very good about partial
scholarships. Wendy is one of the best marketing people I've ever met.

Hey Chris!
Deb Leonard is very interested in possibly attending the workshop in
Baltimore and may be calling you to get info. Also, to see if maybe you are
going and would like to carpool. Please keep us posted if you get any info?
Thanks!
Your tip about tags giving info or a little story about your work is great!
Deb is big on that and we are asking our artists to do more of it. Does
attract customers - you are absolutely right!
