Greetings clayarter's

I was following the discussion on the =22cricket=22 in the brent wheels,
waiting for some enlightenment and.... have tried belt dressings and
never had anything but short lived success.... and yesterday voila,
the aircraft mechanic who posted (forgot his name - have deleted the
message already) to clayart with his parafin wax revelation. Well I
tried it and it instantly nixed the cricket, now to see how long it
lasts...... Thanks for that=21

Another note - some people talked about lubricating the brushes - I
don't think this is such a good idea, you may just ruin the motor

OK, not meaning to be to unabashed, this old aircraft mechanic is going to
step to the plate and accept the accolades for the suggestion I made for the
parafin detuning of that strange, invisible little creature known as the
Brent Belt Cricket. While it may not be the most permanent solution to
keeping him quite, maybe it will work for a while.

With this little introduction to the subject of gleanings from the list, I
want to say that for me this list is incredible for it's input to all sorts
of things. I have learned so much, garnered so many little tips and
techniques, and am ever so grateful. Many little things learned helped a
great deal with my ceramic work. Many others may have originated as some clay
problem solution, but found their way into being solutions for problems in
other areas of endeavor.

Keep 'em coming!!
