hi there ........ this is my first time responding to a post so please
forgive......... no way of getting the orginal to attach itself here...
any ways...........
The format of photos and slides are different..... actually reverse....... =
the
colors which are used are different.
I used to work for a color graphic computer software company ..... and we =
had a
machine that sold for about =2415,000 which allowed you to take a computer =
graphic
and output to slide format.....
This is an expensive proposition........just as getting a hi res slide scan =
is
expensive......(=2425/per slide)
The best thing to do is......... to periodically do slides and digitals
together........ I have a friend that we share our technologies ..... she =
does
slides and i do digitals...... (((((( and if she's reading ......next time i
would love to do it : )))))))
When I am requested to submit slides for applications now..... I ask If =
digital
photographs are acceptable, in this way my most current work can be
submiited.....and I am now finding they.... sometimes they do accept them. =
My
digital camera is mega pixelation so the photo prints are great......
The slides that are converted to digital format (unless you pay =2425/per =
slide
scanned ) have lousey resolution...... The best resolution as with anything=
is
the first generation.......( just like a xerox..... first copy is nice..... =
but
a copy of a copy gets worse.)
Maybe someday the world will come awake and accept either format. It would =
make
sense seeing as computers are everywhere and a large monitor judges could =
view
them together. (The Digital Camera Industry has so many different types of
files ... I really doubt this will happen soon...............)
I guess we must maintain both systems.( Slides and Digitals)
I really Hoped this helped
