Hi Marvin

Thanks for that note. As I mentioned, I'm not an expert, but
that rings a bell, distantly, far away in the back of my mind, that
the temperatures were estimated to be under 1000, so 960 - 980 sounds
about right. But still, I never saw a pryometer being used, we were
all learning to read the colour and condition of the glaze.

Hi, I am firing my small electric kiln with an electronic control and set
the temperature at 960=B0C. When teh panel shows that temperature the =
glazes
are matured. So, using a pyrometer and reading the temperature sounds o.k.
But testing is best...
Heidrun in Bangkok where it still rains but temperatures are getting
pleasant
