Hello all, a question for you -
Not long ago, there was a discussion on why someone's
blue celadon was not working. In the response, it was
mentioned that a change in Custer Feldspar might have
been responsilbe. Can anyone out there tell what that
change in Custer Feldspar is and when this change took
place? I checked the materials date list, that has not
been updated since 1991. I even called my local
supplier and they are not aware of such a change.

Linda,
Pacer (producer of Custer feldspar) hasn't changed its mining location, and
I haven't noticed a change in the spar myself, but you know how it is with
mined minerals--never perfectly consistent. Ask Tony Hanson at Digital
Fire--I think he keeps tabs on this sort of thing.

Linda....
We regularly run button tests with every new bag of Feldspar...Custer or
otherwise. There was a dramatic change about 4 bags ago..(maybe 6 to 8
months???) which we posted here. The new stuff melts much more evenly, and
has been consistent since then.
