i believe that ron roy & louis katz are right --

...And as Ron points out, if it's out of balance it may leach,
just as sodium or potassium can.

I do believe that I overstated the case. My apologies,
and my thanks to both Louis & Ron for corrections.

By the same token, unless you are already taking lithium
for bipolar disorder, it would seem exceedingly unlikely
that you could get enough out of a fired glaze to hurt
yourself -- people who use lithium carbonate as a medication
typically take about a gram a day (!) -- see

(Yes, I know, Li is a light ion; but a gram of the carbonate
contains over 180 mg of it unless there is some water of
crystallization.)
