I am interested clay bodies for ceramic patio stoves. Last spring I made a
stove out of a Lou Nils formula of fireclay and petitlite...cone 6. This is
a flameware formula. The stove cracked while burning papers...maybe fired
too hot too soon. Anyway, all of the patio stoves that I have since seen
have been made out of low fire earthenware (possibly terracotta). Does
anyone have a formula for throwing body that can be used as a patio stove?
