My neighbor and I just replaced the elements in my little 818 skutt. This =
time
I was a little intimidated and quite frankly almost out of time, so I did =
not
ITC the elements. I plan to research this ITC the next time around.
The problem is that overall we did a fairly good job in terms of keeping the
bricks intact, but as I am sure you all know, a few chunks did fall off. =
One
was significant enough to try gluing back on. I have looked in Axner and =
found
nothing but ITC related products=3B Bailey has a kiln brick =22repair=22 =
product for
=2418. Does anyone have any opinion on my small repair job?
Diane, in brisk Massachusetts. Walking this morning in the neighborhood, we=
saw
a bald eagle. I'd never seen one before (neither had the wolfhounds=21).
Overwhelmed and wishing I had a camera but not quite believing it. After =
all,
we are only 30 miles from Boston. Deer yes, but eagles?

What about that page from L=26L:

Is your kiln made of insulation bricks?
Untill now, I didn't make any repair that is satisfactory (I have
these fragil light insultation bricks). So other advice
are welcome.

I used the Bailey repair product this past summer in our gas kiln, and it
seems to be holding up well.

Hi,
This ought to make your lids blow........ I coated a 2" small piece of
fire brick from my small electric kiln.... the top inner edge just above
the coil, with some low fire glaze! Since I fire only low fire in it -
it seemed like the quickest way! :) mike
