What a great workshop we had with Clayart's *own* Russel Fouts last
weekend!

Russel is a delight; friendly, witty, and generous with his
expertise. We used his techniques for resist and terra sig decoration
on bisqueware, which was followed by smoke firing our pots in an
electric kiln (yes, you can!...and no, it does not hurt the kiln if it
is done properly!).

As a result, we ended up with some exciting and interesting pots. Most
importantly, we learned intriguing new methods of working that can be
adapted and explored further with our own work and available materials.

Thanks to all those that attended, and it is always wonderful to meet
Clayarters in person.

By the way, for those who may not be familiar with Russel and his work,
please visit his website at: Http://users.skynet.be/russel.fouts. Even
if you know Russel, visit it anyway. He has a great page of ceramic
related links.

Thanks Russel, come back now, y'hear?
