Hi,
As one of the Norwegian members I find Clayart very helpful - thank you all!
I have used a bright cobolt blue glaze fireing at aprx 1060-1080 deg. C for
some years, working very vell. After changing the body - had to because of
leaking pots - I experience problems with blemishes, pinholing etc. Tried
to solve the problems changing temperatures, fireing curves, soak time etc.
No improvement , the glaze seems simply not to be suited for this body.
Only abt. 15% of every fireing of acceptable quality.
As this glaze represents abt. 95 % of my turnover, I need to find a
substitute.
Would anybody out there have a recepie ?
To find a prepared substitute I hope maybe any Dutch or German member may
help. The glaze is from Welte, "Cobolt blue no: 1976". Body is Vingerling
4122.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks for yor assistance.
Georg
