Hi Christine!

You can use recycled clay indefinitely. In order to keep high-fire recycled
clay "fresh," I add Lincoln Fire Clay or another high-fire powdered clay to
the recyled clay.

It's best to let the clay dry on a bat, then combine the dry ingredients.
However, I've had satisfactory results with adding dry fireclay to wet
recycled clay. I knead the clay by hand, then bag the combined clay, letting
it sit for a few days before using.
