Dear All:
Some time ago we had a discussion on stacking ware in
the kiln (i.e. cups stacked rim to rim, bowls placed
within other bowls, etc.).
Recently a friend told me that stacking ware is
unadvisable, because the carbon has difficulty
escaping. He has seen a dark ring where one bowl was
placed within another, indicating that the carbon
could not burn off. What has been your experience with
stacking ware? Have you seen these dark rings?
